Freidrich Wolf never needed friends with his radio. The voices and singers and information meant he had a wealth of friends inside the matt black plastic and brushed aluminium box. Amplitude and Frequency meant he never had a lonely moment. He loved the radio and the radio loved him, however Friedrich was a fickle soul, and the mullenium saw the birth of digital radio, Freidrich was aroused by the sleek flashing green lights of the new wave of technology, and brought home to his old companions horror an evil moument of the modern, ostentatious and greedy world. Radio was put on a shelf becoming a crippled shrine to an old fashioned dead world, never to be played again gathering particules of dust in its grooves that once released sweet crackling sounds, a mute. While the d.a.b sat among newspapers and books reeling out perfect crisp news updates and all the top hits of the day soullessly and emotionless.
